RRB NTPC Eligibility Criteria 2020-2021:

  • Nationality / Citizenship: Candidates must be nationals of India, Nepal, Bhutan.
  • For the undergraduate level posts, the minimum age limit is 18 year and the maximum age limit is 30 years.
  • For graduate-level posts, the minimum age limit is 18 years and the minimum age is 33 years.
  • Education: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university and for certain posts, should have at least passed the 12th Std.
  • Physical Fitness: Candidates should pass certain medical standards as prescribed by the RRB.

RRB NTPC Apply Online Form:

The RRB NTPC Application Form started on March 01, 2019. The last date for RRB NTPC final submission was March 31, 2019. The application form of the upcoming RRB NTPC will be released on the official websites of RRB. To register for the RRB NTPC 2020-21 exam, candidates must visit the official RRB website to fill the application form.

The steps for RRB NTPC 2021 and 2020 registration are as follows:

  • Visit the official RRB website http://www.rrbcdg.gov.in/
  • Register using your mobile number and email id
  • Login using your registration id, which will be generated after you register with your mobile number and email id
  • Fill all the essential details like name, address, etc.
  • Upload necessary documents like photographs, signature.
  • Before clicking on the ‘submit’ button, review the application form to make sure that all the data entered are correct and free of any errors.
  • Select your mode of payment for the payment of the application fee and fill in the details.
  • The application fees can be paid both offline and online.
  • Online payment can be made via Net banking, Credit/ Debit/ Rupay/ Visa/ Master Card.
  • Offline payment of RRB NTPC application fees can be made via E-challan where cash is to be deposited at SBI bank.
  • The registration process is now completed.

RRB NTPC 2021 – 2020 Admit Card:

Steps to download RRB NTPC Admit Card

  • Visit the RRB website of the region you have applied for (http://www.rrbcdg.gov.in/).
  • Enter your login credentials. You can choose to enter it in either English or Hindi.
  • Enter the Registration Number that you have received at the time of application.
  • You will then be redirected to a page where you should click on the option – “Download Admit Card”
  • Enter your date of birth in the format prescribed or your password as received by you at the time of application
  • Once submitted, your RRB NTPC Admit Card will be displayed on the screen. Make sure to download your Call Letter well in advance to avoid any technical glitches
  • You can download your RRB NTPC Admit Card and take a printout. Try to keep a few more copies for future use

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern 2020 For CBT 1st and 2nd Stage:

All the eligible candidates who are appearing in the upcoming exam should know what is the RRB NTPC Exam Pattern and the total number of marks allotted for each subject.  By knowing the pattern candidates can prepare an effective study plan for RRB NTPC Exam. The RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Category) exam is conducted to recruit the potential candidates for the various posts like Goods Guard, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Assistant Station Master, etc. To archives, good score in the exam candidates must make must know all important details in prior like exam pattern, etc.

TheRRB NTPC Written test will be taken in 2 stages:

  • Computer Based Test (CBT)-1

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern: CBT-1

  • The 1st Stage CBT is conducted for screening the aspirants.
  • There is a negative marking of 0.25 Marks for every question, attempted wrong.
  • No marks are deducted if a question is left unanswered.
  • The exam duration for PWD candidates is 120 Minutes.

  • The normalized score for RRB NTPC CBT-1 will be used for shortlisting of candidates for 2nd Stage CBT as per their merit.
  • Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories: UR-40%, EWS40%, OBC (Non creamy layer) -30%, SC-30%, ST-25%.
  • These percentages of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PwBD candidates in case of a shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern: CBT-2

  • 120 questions are making a total of 120 marks.
  • 1/3 of the marks assigned to each question are deducted for every wrong answer, as negative marking.
  • Normalization of marks is done.
  • The level of difficulty of the question varies depending on the levels of posts.

Computer-Based Aptitude Test (Only for Candidates who Opted the Post-Traffic Assistant and Station Master):

The candidates who applied for the post of Traffic assistant and station master will have Computer Based Aptitude Test. The candidates will be shortlisted 8 times the vacancies of the category. The candidates are shortlisted for CBAT on the basis of marks obtained in the 2nd Stage of the CBT Exam. The candidates scoring at least 70% of marks in the 2nd Stage and 30% of marks in the CBAT examination will be considered in the merit list.

RRB NTPC Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT):

(Only for candidates who have opted for Traffic Assistant and Station Master)

  • Qualifying marks: The candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify.
  • This is applicable to all candidates irrespective of community or category and no relaxation in the minimum T- Score is permissible.
  • Candidates will have to qualify in each of the test batteries of CBAT for considering them for the post of SM/TA.
  • The CBAT shall have questions and answer options only in English and Hindi.
  • There shall be no negative marking in CBAT.
  • Merit list will be drawn only from amongst the candidates qualifying in the CBAT, with 70% weightage for the marks obtained in the 2nd Stage CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in CBAT.

 

RRB NTPC Typing Skill Test (TST):

  • Qualifying in nature.
  • Eight times the number of vacancies will be called for typing test.
  • The candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Personal Computer only without editing tools and spell check facility.

 

RRB NTPC Document Verification (DV):

Based on the performance of candidates in 2nd Stage CBT and based on the performance of candidates in both 2nd Stage CBT and CBAT/TST (as applicable), candidates equal to the number of vacancies will be called for Document Verification as per their merit and options.

 

RRB NTPC Medical Standards:

Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the prescribed Medical Standards for the post(s) for which they have applied. For this, they should refer to the medical standards for each post.
